Summoner’s Rift
This is the flagship game mode of League of legends and is the most prominent in professional-level play. This mode has a ranked competitive ladder, a matchmaking system that determines a player’s skill level and generates a starting rank from which the players can climb. There are nine tiers of ranks, the least skilled being Iron, Bronze, and Silver while the highest being Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger.
In this game mode, the two teams battle it out to destroy each other’s “Nexus,” which they guard with defensive structures known as “turrets.” Each team’s Nexus is located in their base, where the players start the game or reappear after death. Non-player characters known as “minions” are generated from each team’s Nexus and are advanced towards the enemy base along three lanes guarded by turrets: top, middle, and bottom. Each team’s base contains three “inhibitors,” one behind the third tower from the center of each lane. Suppose an enemy destroys the other team’s inhibitors.
That case causes stronger allied minions to spawn in that lane and allows the attacking team to damage the enemy nexus and the turrets guarding it. The regions between the lanes are collectively known as “jungle,” inhabited by monsters that spawn regularly. These monsters, just like minions, provide gold and XP when killed. Other more powerful monsters are located within the river that separates both team’s jungle. These monsters require multi-players to defeat and grant them special abilities to their slayer’s team.
The Summoner’s Rift gameplay can last from as little as fifteen minutes to over an hour. Although the game does not enforce where players may go, conventions about the game’s lifetime have risen. Typically one player goes in the top lane, one in the middle lane, one in the jungle, and two in the bottom lane. Players in the lane kill minions to gain gold and XP, termed “Farming,” and try to prevent the opponent from doing so. A fifth champion, the jungle, farms the jungle monsters, and, when powerful enough, he assists the other teammates in a lane.

League of Legends has two other permanent modes, All Random, All Mid(ARAM), and Team fight tactics. ARAM is a five versus five-mode like the Summoner’s Rift but with only one long lane with no jungle area. Champions are chosen randomly for players in this game mode. In the game mode, the champion abilities have no resource cost, significantly reduced cool-down timers, increased movement speeds, reduced healing, and faster attacks. After releasing this game mode one year later, Riot games disclosed that they had not brought back the game mode due to its unbalanced design, resulting in player “burnout.” Also, the cost of maintaining and balancing URF was too high.

Installing League of Legends
To install League of legends, follow the steps below:
1. Go to the League of legends site. Click this link to access the League of Legends website.

3. Enter a valid email address. Type in your preferred email address into the text field provided on the League of Legends sign-up page.

4. Enter your date of birth. Click on Month. A drop-down menu appears in which you choose your Month of birth. Do the same thing with Day and Year boxes.
